Florida’s Clerks of Court and Comptrollers are constitutional officers who serve as the court system’s official recordkeepers and financial administrators. They accept and docket filings, maintain official court records (including judgments and dockets that trigger deadlines), collect filing fees and court costs, and help compile/certify materials needed for appeals and record requests.
